More than a dozen years have passed since an EF-5 tornado. I've had obligations over the years, and missed out on daytime storms ranked 5.
Recently, I took a shot of this memorial bench at City Hall in Parkersburg, IA. It commemorates the event w/ its nod to fatalities during the EF-5.
As far as memorial benches go, it's a nice one, laser-etched stone.
I wasn't in eastern Iowa that day; I was in KS for storms, like I tend to do.
Where were you back then, and what were you doing on that day?
