Looking at the latest global models, there appears to be a general weakness throughout the subject area promoting substantial tropical precipitation onto the gulf coast and a tropical storm/hurricane taking a historically very dangerous path north of Hispanola. Unfortunately much of this is progged to develop in the higher first-week confidence period of the models. FWIW. Tropical experts please take it from here!
