Just wondered if anyone has seen this yet. Looks interesting, especially after the wild changes we've seen as hurricanes are about to make landfall the last few years. The system uses the existing Doppler network, but integrates them using new algorithms in a way that creates fresh 3D images of the storm every six minutes as it approaches land. Sounds like the time intervals of the sweeps are what have the big advantage over hurricane hunter aircraft, which have a lot more time between dropsondes.
