The Exmor and Exmor-R sensors are really something, especially for low light (high ISO) capabilities. I think that more companies will be leveraging their mirrorless SLR designs (using lenses with a much shorter flange to sensor distance) to design interchangeable lenses that can be used on cameras designed primarily for video or still digital (but with video capabilities). This effectively doubles the market for the new line of lenses.
Getting an APS-C sized sensor in a purely video camera form factor looks like a surefire winner to me.
Samsung and Panasonic also have mirrorless designs and they both make video cameras, so it will be interesting to see if they follow suit. I gotta believe Canon is in development.
