VIASALA Lighting Flash Density

Hello all!

Do you know where I can find access to more up-to-date lightning flash density information than the maps I am seeing (for example: http://www.met.tamu.edu/ciams/index...ning-maps/511-detroit-2000-2009-flash-density).

These maps only go through 2009. Anyone know anywhere I can get more access to lightning flash density maps maybe through 2013 or 2014?

I doubt you'll find any maps updated through 2013 or 2014. A Google search reveals a map showing lightning climatology from VAISALA between 1997 and 2011, though.
