Does anyone out there have an extra Verizon Wireless Broadband USB or Card Adapter they are not using or would like to get rid of for use on my laptop while chasing this season? If so PLEEAASSEE Let me know as long as it can still be activated via Verizon! Free is great, I'll pay shipping, or name ur price, I'm trying to go cheap as possible and I cant really afford a new one! Im going to purchase a prepaid plan if I can get my hands on one! Unless anyone has any better suggestions I been told Verizon had the best coverage here in Colorado! Just thought I'd ask.. I really want to be able to run my GR3 radar and be able to post to Spotter Network and the NWS while out in Chase Mode... Would appreciate any help...Thanks Everyone!

They really don't run that much used, check Ebay. I bought a couple USB 727's last year for about $35 and I'm sure they can be had for a little less (I just sold one here for $25).

THEY ARE FREE THIS MONTH AT WWW.MILLENICOM.COM
1) 20 gb per month instead of 5gb thru Verizon
2) No Contract
2) No Taxes

Lots of Chasers using them

Did you click the link on the 20GB package? Basically $40 for setup and the unit is free. Not sure how you get it to $200 :)

$59.99 Monthly Service
plus $49.99 set up charge minus 5 day shipping time service credit

($49.99 set up - $9.86 shipping time allowance + $99.99 device purchase = $140.12 one time charge) plus shipping

Limited Time Offer: Device Free for New Accounts

Whatever. Call it what you want . Why even ask the question in here first place ? You already seem to know what you are going to do. Just trying to get your post count up! Nobody here has anything to gain by giving great advice . But you make out like we are stupid and have no idea what we are talking about.

Again I appologize for my misunderstanding and failure to find what you had described I hope now we can resolve our differences and move on! As I stated before I DO appreciate the help Gordon!

I received the FREE U760 USB Device. It was 49.00 activation, kinda high if you ask me. Shipping was $15,it actually cost $5 dollars to ship. At my residence in the DFW Metroplex its horrible slow service. Maybe Im not close to a tower. Thats hard to imagine being in a large Metro area. I did go to another location and it was not bad. If it works out on the road I will be happy and then after chasing its time to cancel until maybe next year.

This may need a split off thread, but I want to see what folks think of Millenicom really. I see their deals, which look good, but I haven't gone through the fine print yet. Over the years I find just listening to what the active folks here seem to say (if a collective consensus) is right.

If I go with them, I'm looking at the 20gb plan, but instead of the supplied card, I'm curious if I can use my Sprint U597 or get a U598 (great data cards) that is labeled Sprint (they are all over ebay for cheap). I know that card is available (the Millenicom unlimited plan even lists it), but not sure about the ones with the Sprint label will work on Verizon (the ESN number I guess would be the limiting factor).

No carrier will activate an ESN on a data device originally issued to another carrier. The software in the devices are different while the hardware is the same

That's what I was afraid of...but thinking was the case. Thanks G.
