Typhoon Fury - The DVD Available Now

James Reynolds

Hello everyone.

I've just finished production of my first DVD, Typhoon Fury - The DVD which is now available for sale through my website http://www.typhoonfury.com for $19.99 USD including shipping.

You can see a promo for it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AoXGgACSpY

The DVD features footage from 11 typhoons shot over the last 4 years in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the Philippines and is broken down as such:

Typhoon Xangsane which hit Vietnam as category 2 devastating central part of the country. This was my first solo overseas intercept in 2006

Super typhoon Sepat's incredible flooding in Taiwan in 2007. The storm made landfall as a solid category 3 and in the immediate aftermath I headed into Taroko Gorge to film the spectacular floods.

Video shot from a port complex of the intense northern eyewall of category 3 typhoon Sinlaku, huge storm waves battering Taiwan as super typhoon Jangmi made landfall and video from Hualien city, Taiwan as typhoon Morakot crawled ashore (the storm which dumped 92 inches of rain and killed over 500 people.)

Typhoons of Hong Kong including Hagupit, Molave and the spectacular battering storm surge and winds of typhoon Koppu

Typhoon Usagi in Japan - the storm I managed to intercept the eye of using public transport

And finally typhoons Mirinae and Parma in the Philippines which highlight the additional dangers of intercepting typhoons in regions with fragile infrastructure

The DVD is a look at intercepting typhoons through my eyes and the footage is interspersed with my own pieces to camera shot at the time explaining what's going on.

The running time is approximately 47 minutes. For more information please shoot me a message here or visit my website.
