Twitter Signal to Noise

Hey all,

I have recently added a Twitter account to my quiver of time-wasting arrows and I a still working to find a way to make good use of it. I don't use it for conveying much of my own content, but I can see how it could be a great source of info IF you follow accounts with a good enough signal to noise ratio. I could not care less for trendy or "closest and shocking video of a twister" stuff, but forecasting, discussion and analysis would be of interest for me.

Are there any sources or feeds that are followed by you all, or that you might recommend?

Brian

@ChaserTV is a good one that isn't very noisy. I follow a lot of storm chasers and have recently found the 'mute' functionality, which is helpful when someone posts too much crap.

One way I gauge which accounts are good is how many posts VS followers they have. A twitter account that puts out more quality posts will often have more followers than posts. Accounts with 50 thousand tweets and only 1000 followers tells me its mostly a personal account, which is fine as long as that is what you're after. For me I don't see the point in posting personal stuff or having conversations on twitter with its character limit. To me twitter is better served for news type stuff and celebrity updates (which I dont care about, but I know most of America does.)
