More specifically watches, warnings, and advisories. I set this up a while ago as a little "what the hell" kind of thing. It pumps out whatever is sent by LOT. The path is WxMessage-gmail-TwitterMail-Twitter. I have WxMessage ingesting EMWIN data via the internet. Obvoiusly there's quite a chain that can be broken. It was a little project that was easier than I thought though. I'm sure it could be made more robust so that Twitter is the only flaky part! Has anyone else done something similar to this?

Nice work!

I was doing something similar for a bit with WxMesg but I've since changed tactics. For a while I was getting WxMesg to place the applicable warnings on a web page, but I found this to be redundant for me.

Currently I get WxMesg to send me a quick SMS formatted message to my cellphone for selected products, at the same time it also sends the whole message to an e-mail address I can get to from the phone. This way I get an alert when there is something I might want to look at; if I need to read more I can read the longer message.

I do the same. Straight to phone and email. So far switching to gmail as my SMTP server has been the best change I've made to my setup. I've never had delivery delays because of them. On the other hand Sprint has had its problems. :) If anyone is interested in getting email/sms alerts from my WxMessage setup message me and I'll see if I can get something going for you.

ETA: Thanks for the kind words!
