Train derailed by tornado

I remember that event. It is interesting and the train had chemical hazards. The tornado was rated EF3 on the fujita scale and hit the suburbs of Chicago in Boone and McHenry counties.

This was actually right outside my hometown and place of residence at the time. My home took in refugees from the small town of Lawrence that was evacuated due to the chemicals. This event officially got me hooked on storm chasing. I was (accidentally) about 150 yards from the tornado just after it hit the train, and the sight of it ignited an intense flame of curiosity that diluted any fear I had felt. This tornado also overturned a semi on Rt. 14 about a minute or two after it hit the train.
