I took this miraculous photo during the final leg of an amazing flight from Pittsburgh back to Dallas in Late July.
During the entire trip I was tantalized by candy eye consisting of thunderheads and rainbows.
For more photos, please feel free to check out my blog site www.joyfulstormhunting.com

Enjoy :)

Longest Rainbow ??

Seen from far enough away
and when all the angles are just right,
rainbows form complete circles.
You can do this with a garden hose,
if you hold it right.

Some time in 1999, from a 737 At 38,500 (according to pilot),
I watched an HP supercell over Missouri, and saw behind and
to the northwest side of the storm, a large completely circular
rainbow, complete with surrounding "reverse color" secondary
bow. I wish I could share a photo with you, or anyone for that
matter. One of the most beautiful things I ever saw.

Wow, Truman ! That sounds absolutely breath taking. I'm with you about how it would have been wonderful to have captured a photo of that moment.
