I started asking this question in the Storm Track Chat. Our community has its legends in it. who do you feel should be on the Mt Rushmore for storm chasing and why?

Certainly when you want this monument for CHASERS, you have to consider some legends in chasing itself. Roger Hill, Jim Leonard, Robert Prentice, and Tim Marshall all have a shot at being nominees for on this monument.

I'll add Howard Bluestein. My pick of four would be Hoadley, Bluestein, Samaras, and Hill.
If there were a Mount Rushmore for tornado researchers, Ted Fujita would unquestionably deserve top honors.

Jensen (arguably the first)
Hoadley (do I even need to explain)
Leonard (most prolific all-around)
Marshall (science, safety, education, etc.,)

Only with Marshall....which ChaserCon Character do we choose to embellish the mountainside with?

Good Point. Not sure he has quite the historical pull though. Should, but kinda like a few characters that SHOULD be up on Rushmore, but aren't.

Pretty sure NSSL isn't chasing to research tornadoes in the 1970s without the work Neil Ward did. Without chasing in the 1970s for research purposes, I bet the world of storm chasing today is 100 times smaller than it currently is. No way you can overlook Neil Ward.

I know the following person isn't too popular, but he is also one of the longest lived chasers and is very wise: Chuck Doswell.
