Texas: Click it or Ticket

TX DPS is running their seat belt campaign this week. If you chase in TX today, better watch your speed and wear your belt. They are out in full force today! I just saw 7 of them inn about a 15 mile stretch handing out coupons.

Actually I believe this "Click it or Ticket" campaign is nationwide. I drove from Austin to Kansas City this week and saw signs for it in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. So be safe wherever you may roam!

Same here in IL, every hour a different channel runs, "Even a short drive without a seatbelt, is like having a sign "PLEASE GIVE ME A TICKET" to the police" I haven't seen random checkpoints in a couple of years however.

Pennsylvania has their own commercials here too! Must be for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. I've been wearing my seatbelt for 7 years now... was a rebel before that. An embarrassing ticket in front of my kids taught me my lesson. (They were buckled in- "Do as Dad says, not as he does" was my philosophy.)
