"Stranger Things" embroiled in storm photo theft case

Photographer Sean R. Heavey was watching the hit series Stranger Things on Netflix when he spotted a storm cloud that looked strangely familiar. It turns out show had apparently used one of Heavey’s photos while creating the scene.

If this was reversed, and someone was abusing a Netflix production copyright, the corporation would have a fleet of lawyers knocking at your door. I'll bet it settles out of court. It's a slam dunk. They used it, apparently w/o permission, unless a third party sold it to them.
