I am pleased to announce my 2009-2010 storm observation highlights DVD, "Stormy Skies 2009-2010." You can view more information and a short promo trailer at:

http://www.johnefarley.com/video0910.htm

Now, I'll admit from the start I don't have hours of tornado video like some of you guys that have racked up 20,000 miles this season, but I still have captured some pretty cool stuff over the past 15 months. This DVD includes the only chaser video of the second Hawk Point, MO tornado on April 23 of this year and of the Manchester, IL tornado last August 19. It also includes video of a couple impressive thundersnow events in New Mexico in March, photos and video of a number of funnel clouds, and photos of a 4+ inch hail accumulation in Las Vegas, NM, among other things. Length is 50 minutes including 45 minutes of video and 5 minutes of photo montages. Price is $15 including shipping for standard definition DVD, available now. A high-definition verison will also be available October 1; pre-issue price for the HD version is $15 until October 1, then $20 (again, includes shipping). For ordering information and more detail on what is on the DVD, follow the link above. Also, I will trade for any other 2010 or 2009-10 chase highlights video.

I just got done watching John's DVD "Storm Skies". A couple of my favorites from the disc:
● The dancing funnels from the April 23 chapter. What a great shot with awesome motion.
● The thundersnow footage from NM is some of the best I've seen, as the video really captures the heavy winter precip and the booming thunder.

It was also a personal treat seeing different angles from what I saw on the June 12 and 13 Texas panhandle storms. What makes John's DVD really cool though is that he was the only one out there when he captured the featured tornadoes, and he nailed the shots too.
