Spectacular Lightning- May 24, 2011; Richardson Texas

This past Tuesday, I experienced one of the most breath taking lightning displays that I have ever seen, right in my own neighborhood.

Between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. we had three separate thunderstorms, each of which produced lots of lightning. In addition, mammatus overcast in advance of the storm centers produced more C-C and C-G lightning than I've ever seen.

Great shots! The lightning in those storms was amazing. From up here in Allen, it was continuous at times. I didn't really get too many good shots, as most of them were up in the rain.

Great photos! They were very photogenic storms for lightning. Saw quite a bit here in Plano.
