• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I'm looking for SPC products from April 19th, 2000. Since SPC archives doesn't go back that far, does anyone have any or know where I can find them? I'm specifically looking for like the outlooks for that day, weather watches and if possible the mesoscale discussions that were added.

I was chasing that day if you're interested in any pictures of the storm, and the tornado near Havana. We didn't follow it to Parsons after dark, however. If I remember right, the SPC issued a watch very early in the afternoon, the cap held all day, and then a supercell exploded in Osage County near sunset and produced a tornado about 15 minutes after it initiated.

Reed,

I would love to see the pictures you got of the tornado as it was near Havana. We were on the supercell that produced the tornado in Neosho County. The tornado formed just west of where we were on Highway 59 and we watched it for quite a long time, at least until it was completely dark and couldn't see it no more.

Here is a video clip of the first tornado from that storm.

I heard it produced a large tornado just after sunset...I'm assuming that's the tornado you saw. I haven't seen any pictures of that tornado, so if you have them online I'd be very interested in seeing them.

I'm currently expanding the chase logs section of tornadovideos.net back to 98...with radar/satellite imagery, stills, and more video..I'll let you know when I get the April 19, 2000 page completed.
