• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hey all,
I posted this question a couple years back and had some try to help...but still no dice. So, I will try another angle...
I want to be able to publish my weather data to Weather Underground and be able to see current obs at home when I am away. I have the software that my hubby bought me but it is not working and after 5 years of frustration, I gave up on it. What I am looking for is some good freeware or a program I can purchase that is very inexpensive (unemployment doesn't pay that well) that I can use to get my Davis Vantage Pro to auto upload to Weather Underground...any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Carrie - do you not have the Weatherlink software from Davis? It works great and you can publish directly to Weather Underground and create a website. I did a mobile version for my site to watch obs from home. I also use the free app Wunder on my iPod touch and my Motorola Droid. It will read any Weather Underground station and of course I select my own. ;)

Carrie:

I've wanted to do the same with my Davis (same; vantage pro). As Jim asked, is it the Davis software, and are you sure it's for the right version of the station.

My initial search didn't yield much 'affordable' software solutions, but this thread has renewed my interest and search.

I do have WeatherLink, but its version 5.2 and this version has a patch to make it Weather Underground compatible but for some reason...will not work for me. I have given up on it, have the data logger and the data but just need a good program so I can upload like everyone else.

You can find many free programs/packages on the net. After getting numerous issues with Weatherlink, i decided to look for another software and i found that one among others. I'm using Cumulus (totally free) from Sandaysoft, it's doing the job at home, on my website, and on wunderground all at once (within the same product). You still need some HTML skill to setup your website, but it does the job.

See mine : http://www.reggphotos.com/cumulus/index.htm

I did a lot of editing because Cumulus is in english and my website is all in french, but it really does the job.

See that website Sandaysoft

More : since i completed my cumulus setup, i stopped using Weatherlink.
