$500 for a 17-40 L in good condition is a smoking hot offer; very surprised it wasn't snapped up quickly. I'd be all over this if I hadn't bought a copy last year (for a good $100 more in similar condition, I might add).

People seem to be forgetting that the money is better spent on glass than on on megapixels. I will second that this is an excellent lens and I still regret selling mine.
