hi all,
i know all of u (at least most of u) have meteorology background. well, i do not. my background is math and happens to be really interesting about being meteorologist. anyway, i am currently working as someone that i dont want to be for the rest of my life. so, i've contacted a professor in local (malaysia) university, if i can join his research team. well, as his adviced me, i should do a master's degree and being his Research Assistant at the same time, instead of being his RA only. OK, that's fine. now, as i am reading this textbook "the essentials of meteorology"-to get myself ready and familiar with meteorology terms and idea- and i got nowhere to choose my Master's research topic.

~ anyway, this posting is not about asking you all-professionals meteorologists- to suggest me a topic, but rather a platform for me to get some advice regarding my proposal/topics.

well, i'm currently have one in mind:
1. since i have to do research regarding local climate, i need to study monsoon. what do u guys think about this -> The Formation of Storm in Southeast and East Asia. The Study for the 21th Century's Storms.

it's still general and vague. well, this is only a pilot post.

thanks for ur times and reply.

yea..i think so.
well, i dont have any idea how to narrow it down.
maybe study how the storm developed from the start until end... for example the one pass through luzon island phillipine, etc. the details of the storm maybe. well, i need to find those storms that happened around this century..

probably you guys can help which area should i concentrate on to do a research on storm development.
thanks. :)
