RAM mount SetUps

Tim Marquis

Calling all Chasers!

Can you all send in pictures of RAM mounts being used in your vehicles? I'm looking to help some folks out and need more setups. If you could include the product you use from them, that would be fantastic! Thanks!

Here's a couple of shots of my vehicle. All RAM devices. X-Grip mounts for the tablets, Universal Finger Grips mounted on a RAM-A-CAN II universal cup mount. Everything displayed can be removed and stowed in minutes.

If they dont make a RAM mount base for your car, sometimes you have to find another solution. I honestly like this better than the base as it doesnt interfere with leg room for the passenger like a base does.

I am using the Ram mount from my 2006 Toyota Prius in my new chase car, this 2012 Subaru Impreza. Ram does not offer one for the Subaru aside from a generic one that does not look quite a good. So we retrofitted this one along the front seat track.

I am looking at buying the universal bolt on one for my car, because they don't make one for old as dirt hyundais apparently -lol. All the ones posted here look like the drill in ones. Does anyone have the universal bolt on? Do you hate it or does it work just fine?

I have had my RAM Mount for a little over a year and I am very happy with it. I've ditched my laptop as my data source and now use my cellular iPad as my primary source now.

I mounted using the universal seat bolt mount, that way I didn't have to create a new hole in the floor.

Tim, I'm using a pretty standard configuration in my Jeep Cherokee Sport with my Ram Mount but using the "X Grip" for my 12" Microsoft Surface Pro III tablet. The main tube that extends up from the base doesn't come up as high as I would like, and gets in the way of a passengers left knee, but for chasing solo it works pretty well.
