Just what is it with this area of Canada that seems to get more severe weather than other places? Wasn't this the same area that got the tornadoes early last August? I have noticed that in recent years, the area bounded by Montreal to Quebec City, on south to the US border really can get some spectacular stuff.

Well, I'm not sure why it get more severe weather than the other places. Maybe is it because of the greate lakes and the St-Laurent river.

Here's a map of the tornado occurence from 2001 to 2006 by months... sorry, I don't have it in english. But you can see that it occures mostly between June and August.

The "Bew" inscription is where I live.
