• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hi! My name is Ben Nehring. I am a full time photographer based off the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I am originally from the midwest and spent a few years living in the south. I have storm chased as an amateur for 15 years, but nothing on the scale that I am sure most of you do.

Most of what I have done in the past has been chasing lightning photography and as a hobby it was fun. This year though I am really hoping to add to my portfolio with some truly great shots. I am currently trying to piece together a two week trip to the mainland to chase and focus fully on just storm photography.

Now I am not an amateur photographer. I do this full time and have a strong knowledge base and all the gear a person would need. What I am looking for is a group to tag along with and some how contribute. I am new to this, so not quite sure how it all works. I will pay my own way and carry my own weight. I'm not afraid to take orders and am not scared easily.

Honestly any guidance would be greatly appreciated. If you happen to be part of an experienced storm chasing group who could use an experienced photographer, I will gladly work something out. Please feel free to check out my website and work and if I completely miss judged that this is the place for this, just say so and I will check some other avenues. Thanks for your time.

Hi Ben and welcome to Storm Track!

I think the best way to connect would be in the 2016 Chase Partner thread.

I do have to say, some amazing photos, especially of multnomah falls and horseshoe bend. Both amazing places.

BTW If you decide to come out in 17 instead of 16, I would toss myself out there as a candidate. 2016 is strapped for now for me, as I've got very limited PTO from knee surgery I had earlier in the year.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. Chasing lightning photographs isn't super dangerous so I have never minded doing it alone. I simply avoid tornado producing storms as much as possible. But getting great super cell shots and possible tornados requires a knowledge and experience I don't feel comfortable doing alone. That is what started me out trying to find a group to tag along with.
