• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I am trying to make a decision between 3 of Verizon's android phones. The ones I'm deciding between are the Droid X, Droid 2 and the HTC Incredible. Each one I'm sure has their pros and cons, and was just wanting to know if any of you have these phones, and what you think the pros/cons of each of them are. Thanks!

yeah I played with an unactivated one at a store, and that thing is very responsive and fast...still up in the air, though.

Go with the one with the best battery life. I keep hearing these things are horrible with the battery time.

Battery life solution

Unlike the iPhone, the battery can be removed from these phones so you can buy an extra battery for backup. My friend bought a cheap spare battery for his incredible off ebay and it works just fine for him. You should be able to make it through a day on one charge unless you are using it heavily.

Just posted this in the Android Radar thread not even realizing this one existed, so here's a copy/paste from that and my take:

The Incredible would be a great way to go. FWIW, I still hear critics call it and the Evo on Sprint the best Android experience out there. Not to get this off topic of Mike's app, but a new version of the Incredible should be coming out around November on Verizon with possible LTE compatibility so, just something to think about...

As far as battery life goes, it all depends on usage. I used my original Droid last year not only as my phone but also as a wifi hotspot to get internet in my car and as long as I was plugged into my car charger I was fine. On a typical day of occasional email and web browsing, I get through the day with no problems. Android 2.2 really helped in that regard and as previously mentioned, buying a spare battery is also a good option.
