OFB radar images

Is there a reason to scan above O.5 reflectivity tilts when checking outflow boundaries? I don't recall seeing higher returns, but is it safe to assume that OFBs are nearly always surface-based or near surface? Thanks.

That's a pretty safe assumption (unless yu're really close to the radarsite.)
