NSWW in Norman: Anyone going?

I'll try to make it for the spotter talk with Chris Novy. I really hope to make TESSA this year, especially being that I could not make Denver back last month.

Nope. Can't justify blowing 2-3 days' worth of chasing $$$ on speeches that aren't going to help me in real-time storm situations.

I'll be at the banquet on Thursday night. We've got a local judge from Greensburg, Kansas to talk about the impact on the tornado had on the town.

I have also arrived, drove up in D/FW Rush hour (heres some advice, dont do that) this evening. Staying at the new Motel 6 a few blocks from the hotel, great nightly rates. Very basic (Comfy beds, bathroom/shower, tv, free wifi) but not much else, not even furniture, such as a dresser, or a clock. Eying a chase on Saturday to Southern Kansas since I'm already so closer, may partner up with a friend if he comes up.

Overall, Im enjoying my first weather conference. :)

Enjoy folks!

I had to cancel: My wife came down with a brutal bout of flu and spent all night Wednesday and most of yesterday in the hospital. We're home, but not going anywhere.

Dear all

I also had to cancle my stay due to family in Tx I was not able to attend any of it just to run in get some shirts and run out and drive back to dfw so if there is anyone that got the ENTIRE CONFERENCE ON DVD and would like to give me a copy or several copies of this I would SERIOUSLY APPRECIATE IT. I was really upset that I could not stay due to family but I would appreciate it if I could get some DVD copies of the Entire conference if anybody got it all. and I need to get in touch with 2 following chasers Kevin Scharfenburg and Chris Sokol if anyone could tell me how to do this I also would appreciate it. Thanks.

I attended all three days of the conference. Some parts were very informative. And some parts were not. As always, I enjoyed Chris Novy's skywarn presentations. I did leave early on Saturday to chase S/C Kansas, so I missed to storm observation class. The only complaint I had about the whole deal was the lack of free Wi-Fi. But otherwise it was a very good three days.
