Torn warning in SD. Nice curl was found in storm a few minutes ago. Although not a strong now...

Doh!! I created a 'now' thread at almost the same time as you...mods can go ahead and delete my thread...;)

**Edit**
That storm in southeast SD has a very nice hook on it near I-90...

Bad news for the Twin Cities. Numerous reports of a tornado near Orono.

AT 845 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED A TORNADO IN
SOUTHWEST PLYMOUTH.

Man, that cold front really came alive. I first noticed it as a fine line of reflectivity at about 5 or 6. I didn't know what it was at first, as some of the obs around there weren't showing the veering winds. But alas, that's what it was.

The supercell that went through the northwest portion of Minneapolis sure looked impressive on radar. Other storms are firing farther south through the metro area. I expect these storms to become supercells and roar northeast wreaking havoc in western Wisconsin later tonight. Keep posting those great images.

Supercell storms are beginning to fire south of the initial cell. Could be a long night for E/SE MN and portions of WI.

EDIT: Looks like Tim was thinking the same. LOL.

Supercell looks to be forming just SSW of Duluth right now. The cell is getting a hook shape and is starting to show weak rotation in the right spot.

ADD: It also appears the convection on the NE side of the Twin Cities is quickly merging into a line of storms. Looks like central/northern Wisconsin indeed may be in for a stormy, windy night.

EDIT: Storm SSW of Duluth is undergoing a split right now and the right member seems to be getting strung out.

String of pearls trying to get going east of St. Paul metro, wonder if they can sustain themselves or immediately congeal into a bow..... Where is cardioid boy when you need him!

Here is from 0221 UTC so, yes a little old. Storm showed the rotation well in the curl map.

Note: Found and fixed bug that didn't cause the torn. warning to have top processing priority on my site.
