NM100 Acoustic Weather Station

I am looking seriously at purchasing the NM100 weather station from New Mountain Innovations. What I really like about this unit is the all-in-one aspect of the hardware, and the fact that there are no moving parts to wear out or break.

My intention was to use it as a home station, but I was also going to design a mount for the car with a quick disconnect for the power and data cables.

Does anyone else have experience with or own this unit? If so, would you recommend it?

I would suggest getting an Airmar weather station instead. The Airmar unit is the exact samething as far as I can tell but for some reason it is a lot cheaper. I have an Airmar but have yet to use it.

FWIW: I'd be concerned about the lack of a humidity measurement.

Be aware the fancy wind speed/direction calculations rely on the internal compass of the device. If you have mag mounts nearby you might cause yourself problems.
