What is the best night for you from this year?

Good afternoon.

In the wake of SDS season, I thought I start this thread about the best night-time thunderstorm observations of this year.

I will throw in two nights(unfortunately neither of them produced American-style crawlers, at least I did not managed to get them on picture):
18 July - http://www.zone.ee/lagujailm/index.php/page,18jul07eng/
23-24 August - http://www.zone.ee/lagujailm/index.php/page,ts23aug07/

What is the best night for you from this year?

Id say, in 2nd week of oct we had a bad storm that lasted about 1 hour or a little less! filmed about 20 mins worth came out good!

oh man, August 16th and 17th was the best night for me in Southeast Idaho. Dry thunderstorms moved in the area and lasted for many hours. I must have taken over 50 lightning shots. I drove 20 miles in all for the lightning. Since Ive lived here in 2005, this has to be the best Night for lightning thus far. Here is a few shots...

Although it was extremely bad season for nighttime photography this year for me here...I still managed to have some amazing chases, its hard to decide which is best one, so here is few of my fave nighttime shots from 2007...

Without question, the rare and lengthy show we saw here in Denver back on the night of August 23 into the morning of the 24th where several rounds of storms moved over the metro area keeping most of the city up til close to 3am with some hefty storms. I chased til just shy of 3am shooting lightning, flooding, and hail. Definitely one of the better nighttime chases I had all year!

there have been a couple decent events out here this year, but nothing that stood out too much...

most of the summer weve had that ridge down here, and it squashed any potential for alot of our air-mass storms...

some of my more memorable days were 9/25/07 and 10/18/07...there were some really impressive multicells coming out of the winfield, AL area...really bright moon, and you could just see the storms, and the lightning just lit up the towers...probably the best lightning show this year...

there were a couple storms that impressed me on 10/18/07...there were a few storms that formed ahead of the line near saltillo, MS and they had some notable lightning...there was also a nocturnal MCS that formed, and it had alot of lightning with it...but it was all blue flashing...i couldent really make anything out...

this was one of those night time storm events from this year...

hate the quality, but its all i had...
