New/old lightning fake going viral - "Lightning strikes car"

We've got another fake making the rounds on social media, and for some reason this one seems to be doing better at fooling people.

This Reddit post is from the creator of the video, which was made in April of this year as a (deceptive) advertisement for a dashcam seller:

Yes it's very good quality for a fake. I tried to freeze it at the moment of the strike and it looks like an explosion rigged underneath the car, but I'm probably wrong. It's eerily reminiscent of the stroke that hit that pickup in Tofield, Alberta Canada on May 31, 2014, except in that instance you can see the stroke from top to bottom versus just underneath the vehicle.
