• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Does anyone know if any of those devices have a direct antenna input port? I'm not too impressed with the "Samsung Hotspot". I have an "Elevate" that I like but it's ATT.

There is no contract with Millenicom . That is the whole point . No taxes, No Contract , Higher data limits . For an ipad you would need a hotspot plan.

I'm bringing an iPad over this year, has anyone heard of a Verizon plan that is casual or prepaid without a contract? This year we need it for a couple of months, but will be for at least 6 months each of the next 2 years..

Through Verizon directly, if you have a "qualified Verizon device", any plan Verizon should offer would be available "month-to-month". The only time one should ever find themselves locked into a long-term commitment is when they purchase a device (for little/no money up front) along with a plan. But I don't know that Verizon offers anything that works like a "pre-paid phone", they will only work month-to-month and inside the billing cycles. You will still have to sign a "contract", just make sure it states there in no commitment. You will also have to be careful about when you let them know you're wishing to stop service else run the risk of paying an additional month you don't need.

Not sure about an Australian I-Pad but I assume this could be activated on a US plan.

I was not aware Millinicom could activate [Australian] I-Pads but if they do, that would be the way to go.

I understand you Aussies are having large issues with sharks this year?

Does not matter where the ipad is from . The hotspot broadcasts a wifi signal for multiple devices . The ipad does not have to be cellular to work !!! Millenicom is month to month !!! There is no contract also the data limits are twice that compared to signing up with a plan direct with Verizon . Also because they are located in Oregon - There are no taxes . $69.99 per month is just that . Can be suspended and reactivated at anytime . It basically is a no brainer for the needs of a chaser.
