My First Milky Way Shot

I just recently got my Nikon D5100 for storm chasing as well as my upcoming travels. I knew before buying it I wanted to get some Milky Way shots, too. I was going to try last weekend, but it was cloudy both days. This morning the sky was clear! Even though it's almost a full moon, the moon sets at 4:55 am, so that gave me about an hour of good darkness to shoot. This was taken at 5:50 am, right before "blue hour" started. This is with the kit lens...
