One of, if not the most photogenic tornadoes of the year, and it's shame nobody on the beach had a decent camera or took the time to compose the shot. This link should be good after tomorrow: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap130717.html

I gave a talk about chasing supercells in an airplane last year at the Indiana Storm Chaser Convention, and how we had yet to get a tornado from the air. Someone in the audience beat us to it. Hannah Carpenter snagged this photo of the spout from a commercial flight over Tampa Bay and shared it with me on Twitter/Facebook:

This waterspout happened last summer in the Tampa, FL area. The video was captured by one the people who lived near where the waterspout touched down.
