Monster Blizzard Spotted On Saturn

Thanks for the link -- it's fascinating to read about the dynamics of weather beyond earth. Several years ago, during a time when Mars' orbit took it closest to Earth's, I was watching Mars through my telescope and could clearly see north and south ice caps and darker patches, only to find a few weeks later that all I could see was a blurry red blob. I immediately thought there was something wrong with the scope, but later learned that a massive dust storm had kicked up and obscured most of the surface of the planet. crazy. I wish the CSM article had said what size telescopes these amateur astronomers were using.
