We had icebergs with in about 30miles of the southern New Zealand coast back in 2006. I don't think they'll reach here this time though. Icebergs reaching the NZ coast is an unusual event.

in november 2003 when I sailed along East Antarctica on a russian icebreaker we saw a monster iceberg, 60km long :
