Lovely Supercell - Queensland, Australia - 31st Dec 2013

Myself and two other chasers made the >2000km (1200 mile) return from NSW to SE Queensland for the 30th and 31st.

The 30th was a disappointment with development not occurring on the Darling Downs plains, but the jungle eastwards.




The 31st delivered a long lived supercell (in semi jungle..lol) - almost 4 hours of chasing (and hail) !

Michael, the updraft looks great. I had a dream about chasing in Australia the other night. Have you seen a tornado in AUS?

The lowering has beautiful shape, I enjoy seeing storms from other parts of the world!

The structure above the plateau is very good.
