My six year old daughter is into weather, she gets that from me. This morning I got asked the question what is a cold front. I explained to her the best I could, but was wondering if there were any materials or books out there geared towards children. She is above her grade level of 1st grade so she can comprehend some older children's books just fine.
She already has Jon Davies Book, Storm Chasers! On the Trail of Twisters. And a book from Scholastic called Storms. And we did find this site that is part of Scholastic Weather Watch Home.
She did her first ever science fair last year and showed a tornado in a bottle for her project. This year she wants to do another project with weather. I am thinking using her question from this morning as a starting point.
I plan on letting my fingers bow down to Google, but any additional help would be great!
