"Invalid phone number" on Stormtrack Discord

Hi there,

I've lurked for a while here and finally took the dive and made an account! I'd like to join the Discord server but when I type in my number, it says "invalid number". My phone number is a regular cell phone number (not a burner), I've had it for about 10 years or so.

I've attempted to message the admins on discord but they have (understandably) external messaging turned off, and I cannot post in discord until this is completed.

I've emailed discord support and they said I would need server admin help. I've also googled this but haven't found any solutions.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey @Cameron L., I'm turning off the heavy security until I see you arrive in the Discord. We have implemented some security measures that are pretty tight in order to keep out the crazies. That said, sometimes those measures affect us normal folk.

Stop by and get checked in. Make sure you stop by the #experiance_level channel and set your level. You'll then be able to see more channels.
