How do I get setup so that my GPS automatically updates my location on the Google maps and other maps, such as the one used on spotter network and storm.

I can't seem to get it to work. The GPS works fine for my GRlevel3 but I cant find any information on how to push that to the web.

ANY help would be great, I want to stream live "i have that account ready" I just need to get my GPS setup.

THANKS

While there's several complex ways to do it, you've already mentioned the easiest way to get started... get a SpotterNetwork account and go from there. In addition another group called Storm Chase has created a "Spotter Network Map Widget" that can be used on your personal website and elsewhere for the purpose you have in mind.

Did you download the spotter network software on the computer that has the GPS?

I already have a spotter network, and I don't need a widget. I want my location and camera to be on the GPS map that is used on bother the spotter network and sever studios.

Is there a program I have to download to get that information published?

From your original post, you are using the GPS on GRlevel3. The com port can only be used for one application. You need to install gpsgate or a similar program to create several virtual com ports so that your GPS can communicate with different aps. Once you do that, set the settings in your spotternetwork client for one of the virtual com ports.

I place a link to it in my previous post.
be sure to input your spotternetwork ID into the program as well. not your username.

Brian; ditto on on the GPS port sharing solution. GPSgate is an excellent choice, however I have also personally used Xport with good results (32 bit only though)

XPort is available here: http://curioustech.home.insightbb.com/xport.html

Your position should show up on the Severe Studios website if all of your information is correct within the Spotternetwork fields. Make sure the position settings are correct. Enter your user name in the Severe Studios field for your information to show up on the website when you are streaming.

Guys, guys, he didn't have the SpotterNetwork Client installed. Nothings going to work if that doesn't happen first. :D

Brian, it sounds like you might need more help after you get the client installed. Make sure you ARE NOT using the GPS with GRlevel3 until you get the other issues sorted out first.
