Horseshoe vorticy?

I finally re-found a video. This might be the only video out there showing the formation and breaking off of a horseshoe vortex. This guy had no idea what he had but my best guess is a horseshoe formation unless someone tells me I am wrong.

Patrick - That's definitely looks like a horseshoe vortex to me.
Jim - I agree with you. (I could even see a sun dog on it at one point when he zooms in. Cool!)

There is also a word called 'vorticity', which is in the same family as vortex and vortices, but has a slightly different connotation.

I picked up a strange new picture yesterday. This little high cloud was all alone and would not have been able to form like a normal horseshoe or anything but obviously had some kind of spinning force.
I'm not sure, but would everyone call this a horseshoe vortex?

Most likely, looks like you had just missed its tighter wound stage. I seen another today out nearly all by itself but it was mostly gone before I could stop and pictofy it.
