Okay, so I've never done this and have no idea on the technology, so please pardon my ignorance on this topic.
I've decided I would like to use my USB streaming-capable camcorder to broadcast live video on my website, but obviously only when major weather events are ongoing. One little problem... HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED?
I assume you have to have some type of software to "encode" the video, or perhaps a server to broadcast to, which in this case, would be the server my web page is being hosted on ??? So, do I need to contact my host to see if her server is even capable of doing such a task - probably?
Not really a big issue on the audio, although it would be nice.
Any tips on getting started ???
