Hard Drive Camcorders

Has any one been using a hard drive camcorder? I would like to know if downloading the video to a laptop and sending it is quicker than video rewind. I see they record into chapters or individual clips. Also how difficult is the process of sending it and have you had any problems occur? Thanks

Panasonic has the sd1 that saves the image to an sdhc card. I have 2 8gig ones and can put 80 minutes on each. It is a file copy paste workflow.
