I looked up the paths of Bertha and Fran and they are 'similar' to the paths we're seeing in Hannah and Ike. Bertha skirted the Bahamas like Hannah is doing. Bertha was a Cat 1 when it made landfall, Hannah is expected to do the same. Fran and Ike the same. Fran was a tad bit more south than Ike was but if you compare where Fran was and where Ike is now they both have close to the same track and location. They were also close in landfall(month) but Ike could strike within a week or two depending the course/variables. My question is though, what if this is true and this is Bertha & Fran part II? Thoughts?

Edit: Heres the links to the paths of Bertha and Fran and the weather channels current paths of Hannah and Ike:

That's assuming she makes landfall in less than 12 hours... NHC doesn't have landfall until tomorrow morning though?

yeah, supposed to be making landfall around midnight to 2am friday night/saturday morning. And instead of getting to chase the storm, I get to work :(

Fran came through Raleigh on Sep. 06, 1996. TS Hanna is passing Raleigh on Sep. 06, 2008 several hours behind Fran but same day. Ed
