A quick question about http://grlevelxstuff.com/

If this has already been discussed in a different thread, my apologizes.

Looks like the site is down. Maybe permanently. Does anyone know if they will be coming back online, or if they will be able to come back online?

OUCH. I hope it comes back as that was a wonderful source of info and downloads.

Yeah, I read the notice on their front page, that really is a bummer!:(

It's beyond a bummer. GRlevelXstuff has been a fantastic resource for Gibson Ridge users. It was, and hopefully will yet remain, a labor of dedication driven by some extremely talented people. But surely they must have had some kind of backup. The thought of all that material vanishing irretrievably is just sickening.

It doesn't sound like it but hopefully some data is backed up.. Backing up stuff is the most over-looked thing regarding data. I have been somewhat guilty of this myself and dont back up as often as I should either..

With regard to PAL files etc everyone has some so replenishing them should not be too hard if everyone contributes back into that aspect of it..

I would hope that they had their site backed up including the database, I couldn't imagine not doing so. I backup my website and database once a month, if my site completely crashed I could have it back up in 20 minutes or so easily.

You'd think that would be the case. Aaron et al strike me as savvy enough to cover their bases in the event of a system crash. But the site still isn't up, and I don't like what that fact seems to imply.

This is indeed a bad thing to happen. I had just downloaded a bunch of content onto my desktop and was going to reconfigure my laptop tonight and noticed the blue screen of death when I typed in the URL. I really hope it can be brought back up. I finally was satisfied with the way things looked on my desktop. Perhaps I should just USB those files onto my laptop as well. If GRLS doesn't get back up, maybe we can all throw our files that we got from there onto a blog or something so at least we have SOMETHING to choose from....that is if the files are still valid.

I'm just wondering what Aaron plans to do at this point. If he hopes to get the site back up and running, then what, in practical terms, will it take for him to do so, and how can this community of GR users support him?
