• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I received this e-mail and told the person I would pass it on as I didn't chase the Greensburg storm. Below is the quote from the e-mail and contact info. I make no judgements on the source, price etc; just passing on a request.

Hi - i'm trying to get some footage of the tornado and damage of
greensburg kansas for a video i'm producing for the US Green Buidling
Council. Can you help me out? I have a super low budget so if i could
get footage for like $100 or so that would be great. i only need
like :!5 - :30 total. Let me know. thanks!

I wouldn't even sell them, like :!5 of general storm footage for $100 LOL. I agree that it is funny they have a super low budget when both the phone number prefixes are from the LA/Hollywood area. Just another production company trying to rip off chasers from their hard earned footage.

I just visited the kontentfilms.com website ... they don't look like a company that should be asking for that kind of footage for $100. Go to "about" and "clients" ...

Someone needs to direct this chick to ST. She needs to be in the arena with all the lions she's mocking.

$100? Hell, for the flash of footage that would get her from me, it wouldn't even be worth the postage on the package. I should just sell her my Macksville stuff as Greensburg, she'd never know the difference. Be about as honest.

10 second minimum

There should always be a 10 second minimum when billing for footage....not worth a persons time otherwise. I always include that as part of a quote. In the end...those who are OK with that usually buy more than than 10 seconds.

I'm still thinking that $35 per second is the minimum too. I would bet Greensburg footage usually goes for more....even if it's not exactly current anymore.

As Heidi recommended I hit the website, what a load of crap....any of the Greensburg stuff I have been selling is going for a lot more. $100.00 does not even cover the time it would cost me to go through the video!!!! This is exactly what I was refering to in the other thread. "Super low Budget" I have heard that so much over the years and frankly I am so sick of it!
