Any opinions on Sony Vegas? For $50 I'm considering purchasing this just to see what it's like, has to be better than Adobe and the windows program I've fought forever.

This isn't Sony Vegas is it? The software is labeled Movie Studio. Perhaps its a watered down version of the full Vegas software? I know the Vegas Pro software runs hundreds of dollars and newegg had the original price listed as just $90

It's Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro, just not Vegas Pro...

Direct from sony it runs about $120, so less than half price...

Vegas Pro runs about $500

I got Vegas Pro a month or so ago and I really like it. Looking at their website it looks like Vegas Movie Studio is just about exactly like Pro. I am sure it doesnt have all the features but it seems to have nearly everything I use. Looks like a good deal to me.

Can it export to H.264? I had an older version of Vegas and it didn't have the H.264 codec.
