• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Yesterday I was up in Kansas near Kiowa around the time of the tornado warning near Attica and I found that I had lost any new radar updates from my new Allisonhouse feed which I got because of the earlier NWS feed loss a week or so ago. When I realized my radar was not updating even though my internet - tested - was working I switched to NWS feed polling and had the latest. Not sure what was up? Anyone else experience this?

Ok, cool, but a bit ironic as I joined them to supposedly avoid outages in the heat of the battle. I may need to load that feed status GR3 product from Allisonhouse.

Whoops just happened again with KSJT. Failed to update - switched to NWS - no problem.

Allisonhouse KSJT working now.

I have also had an issue but not on the above date. I really like what Tyler and Gilbert are doing over there and I know they will get it worked out. Having said that we all know how imperfect feeds/servers/software communication can be and errors will happen no matter what. If its just a matter of errors cropping up on overload days then I would gladly pay more money for the service to produce an over capacity buffer zone on those heavy traffic days.

I have had the same issues on more than one day. I cancelled my service and now I'm switching between two free feeds with no issues. I'm sure Tyler Allison will get the issue straightened out, but I was paying only to have more reliable feeds. Some communication about the problems would have been great.

Folks...please please please post over on our forums when there are radar issues. In 2010 we have not had a single radar outage that we are aware of. In fact our monitoring service shows 100% uptime on radar products.

The outages referenced in the forum link above were for non-radar products.
