• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I just purchased a Sony FX1 so I'm parting with my VX2100. I have owned it for about a year and purchased it from a fellow ST member. The camera is in great working condition and good cosmetic shape with the only a few small scratches on the plastic hood. It comes with the original battery, NP-F730 extended life (still runs about 5 hours) battery, charger, manual, and kata case.

$1275 shipped.

Is there a way to check the hours on the VX2100? I know on the PD170 you can check the hours through the menu, but I don't believe the VX2100 has an hour meter. If anyone is aware of how to check it, I'd be glad to post the hours.

Pretty sure there is, I saw some on ebay I was looking at getting that had it displayed on the screen. Not sure how it's done though.

I'm going to check with a few local camera shops and see if any of them have the gadget to check the hours. I purchased it from Bill Mudd, so you may be able to PM him to get a better idea of the history. I personally used it for last season and ran roughly 3 tapes through it, so I would estimate my usage to be on the order of 3-4 hours. When I purchased it from Bill, I believe he said it was about 2 years old.

I got a check coming in (hopefully in the next two weeks) I'll check back and see if you have sold it yet when I get it. If not I may be interested in it.

The VX2100 is tentatively sold. Got a PM from someone stating they'll send me a money order for it on Tuesday. I will mark the original post as "sold" when the money order arrives.
