• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

First up is my Sigma 17-70. The lens is in great condition and is very sharp. The AF failed last summer, and I sent it off to Sigma and the AF was repaired and the lens cleaned & calibrated under warranty (thus no warranty card is included). It came back better and sharper than it was before and continues to work flawlessly. I'm selling because I purchased a Canon 15-85.

Lens Model: Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5 Macro (yes, this is the "old" non-HSM, non-OS version)

Sale Includes: Lens, hood, caps, box, manual (no warranty card as I explained above)

Price: $260 via regular paypal (or cash for local pickup) and price includes shipping via insured USPS from Denver CO (sorry, I will not sell/ship outside of the US)

Best Contact Method: PM

Next up is a Hoya Pro-1 Circular Polarizer Filter for 77mm mount. (Please note this will not fit the lens above). I purchased this new from 2filter.com 4/14. I am selling b/c I am selling my Sigma 10-20 and will no longer have use for this as I won't have a lens it will fit. In the interest of full disclosure, I received the filter with a small scuff on the coating of the glass (which can be seen in the 2nd pic). You have to hold the filter against the light a very certain way to see it, and it has had no impact on image quality whatsoever, thus I did not bother with the hassle of exchanging it.

Price is $80 via regular paypal which includes shipping.
