Just to let you all know we have a 4-hour basic severe weather forecasting class coming up on Saturday July 14 in Norman, Oklahoma. You may register anytime up until midnight Friday night. As a departure from the way we've done Forecast Schools in previous years, I've been ditching the Powerpoints and using a broad range of live Internet data to build up a diagnosis of the weather patterns across North America, using the projector and whiteboard, and having an interactive discussion about this with the class. Since it's the summer doldrums, though, we'll probably do some flashbacks to the April weather events.
